MEDIA (Thrillers)

Media (thrillers)

In the first trailer it is a horror/thriller ‘as above so below’ this film is set in France, Paris where a bunch of friends go looking in caves (catacombs) where they come across a secret cave that comes alive as they discover its hidden true.  The reason that this thriller is thrilling is because during the movie the people die one by one and there is no escape from the cave.

The next film is ‘Die Hard’ which is classed as an action/thriller which contains Bruce wilis who is a cop going round sorting the problems out. The reason that this film is thrilling is because all there are lots of explosions and gun fire during the movie which brings you to the edge of your seat.

Finally the last film that I have chosen is ‘The Ruins’ which is a thriller horror which is about a bunch of friends discovering an abandoned forest which is overgrown with vines and some tribe forces them to survive and fined away out but everyone dies apart from a women who gets away but has to suffer that she watched all her friends die. The reason that this film is thrilling is because the forest comes alive and kills them when they get a cut the vines enter the body

Memento's Audience

Demographics: Age: I think that the age group for this film is teenagers to young adults because it looks like a young man that is going through hard times with a relationship. Gender: I think that this film is for both genders because it shows to you people going through a hard relationship together. Race/nationality: I don’t think the film is aimed at any individual race or nationality so I think it’s for everyone. Social economic class: I think that in this film it shows both upper and lower class in the film because the man is sometimes wearing posh jackets and then he is shirtless with tattoos so he probably experienced both either losing his job or become in a financial struggle. For example it looks like this man started off in the A categorically but then dropped to an E class because now looks unemployed. I think any class can watch this film because it looks like this man goes through every economic class.

Typography: I think that the style of the font is done to give suspense of what is going to happen like it has been rushed because the people are in a problem and need to get away.

Psychographics: Interests/hobbies/life style/jobs: I think that the people that would watch this are ‘explorers’ (young people or students that are looking for something different). They would watch this because they are stuck in education wanting to do something for a change. I also think that a struggler would watch this film because they have nothing better to do (a person that has done bad in life and drinks and eats the wrong things and in some cases they are unemployed) so they would watch anything.

still picture.

This is a still from the film ' the woman in black' the reason that I have chosen this picture is because it creates suspense because the man checking out the window is looking for the woman that he saw but when he goes up he doesn't realise that she is behind him, it makes the audience feel tense because one scene the man is looking out the window then the camera turns back and she is standing next to him.
